About Me

Hello, my name is Brandan Buckner, And I am 28 years old. I am a junior at George Mason University. I recently lived in Washington DC where I lived for 19 years, since then my family and I just moved here to sterling VA Loudon County area in 2020 during the pandemic year. I recently graduated with my associates degree from Montgomery College, where I spent 6 years from 2014-2021. I currently intern at Just Good Sports Network, where I broadcast the top Sporting news topics and cover professional sporting events. I also write and produce sports articles as well. Since arriving at George Mason before that I volunteered at the Washington English center for a couple of Months teaching students who wanted to learn English as there second language. My area of study is Broadcast Communications, I have been interested in this field since I was a young teenager. I have been at George Mason now for a year now and since then I have loved the communications industry here at George Mason. Before I graduated Montgomery College, I was the sports radio talk show host for my own sports radio show Sports Talk Live which I had for 4 years at WMCR Radio. I also worked at MCTV at Montgomery College. I worked for a student produced News Program called MC In Focus in which I was the sports anchor and news anchor for a year. Aside from that, in High School I was named to the Dean’s List, I made honor role as well. While I was at Montgomery College, I was named Sportscaster of the year in which I got an award for, I also got an award for being in our Radio Club while I was at Montgomery College. My Hobbies Include: Watching Sports, Playing Sports, reading about sports, Watching Soap Operas. My favorite ones are: General Hospital, Young and the Restless and Bold and the Beautiful. Aside from that I love spending time with family and friends. Every Sunday after church my family and I go out to eat to restaurants. Well not every Sunday but most of the time we go out to eat after church. But we attend church every Sunday though. I love vacationing at Walt Disney World and Ft Lauderdale Florida. I spend time with family in spartan burgh South Carolina were my great aunt lives.
